I mean you can go 24hrs on but they can only take in a certain amount of light per day, DLI. You can run lights longer at a lower intensity so it would take longer for it to reach its max and vis versa. After that it’s just wasting power and costing more money. Using CO2 can increase how much light they can take but other things have to be dialed in as well. Are you wanting to do 24hrs on to try and regulate the environment? If you don’t mind the wasted power and whatever extra it costs than I don’t see why not. What’s the differences in temp and humidity when lights off compared to when they’re on?

Most advanced growers would suggest running 18-20 hours. Seems to be the common theme. Their are certainly benefits for having a dark period as well but if your temps are too low and you need the heat, 24 hours would be fine. The biggest issue is dealing with the humidity in spring time since it’s raining a lot. Most can see issues when you are going from 75% to 30’s. It really screws with the plants circadian rhythm, so try to dial that in as best as possible. Hopefully this helps. ✌️

I agree with Purp. I used to run them on 24 hours because I had no ability to control climate during the dark period, and I grew some stuff that kept me and my friends very happy. However I never got the density out of them that I get now from a proper light cycle.
