Auto Low N?

Auto day 59 since it sprouted. Using 70%coco 30% perlite grow dots and recharge. Its a bit confusing because I have that perfect tip burn so It seems to have plenty of nitrogen but now im getting yellow fan leaves. Is this low N?

How’s your environment and how are you watering? Is it all the fan leaves that are affected?

It is on top leaves, that is not a N deficiency. N is mobile, it would strip from older leaves to keep the top green and photosynthesising. That looks like a Calcium deficiency which is not mobile. Now whether it is a PH imbalance or actual calcium deficiency I can not tell you.

I do see some slight clawing on the leaf tips that could indicate too much nitrogen also after zooming in.

Lots of upper leaves tacoing. I would say light is to bright, temps slightly high. Autos are picky on light and vpd

Was thinking the same, light intensity may be a factor since its an auto and all the issue seems to he the upper canopy. Definitely seems a bit hot too.

What size pot ? most issues are water , either ph ,frequency , over or under watering . I’m pointing at the issue of your pushing to much water basically your pushing out nutrients. Basically I water 5-10% of

Pot size and in cocoa you can definitely water everyday but 1 gallon seems a bit excessive. How much run off do you get have you tested that . From the outside looking in this could be a ton of different compounding issues that present as 1 thing but are another . Good luck

Thanks for all the replies. The pots a 5 gal fabric pot. The light was dialed back a week ago I was getting 800 ppfd at the top of canopy, once I saw tacoing I went done to 400. I was looking into other posts on here and saw that most autos prefer a lower ppfd. I added 75g of dots on this run. Im running 8 other plants all with different amounts of dots. This is my first Lady using the dots. I havent added any calmag to this run or anything else other than recharge. I will check my runoff tonight and see what I get. I haven’t done that yet.

Found a couple leaves with these spots. Still need to check runoff but got called into work so it’ll have to wait.

There are so many old misconceptions still out there about autos concerning light and feeding. I would suggest checking out some people on Garden Talk on YouTube.

I will definitely check that out. Thanks for the info. I’ve been running autos for 5 years now this is my first run ever in coco and not using bottles so I figured there be a learning curve here. All the ladies im running are test plants using different amounts of grow dots and 2 different types of coco. This one if having issues with is motherearth 70%coco 30% perlite. And I have other autos using just canna coco and dots.

Not sure how many leaves look like that one I noticed about 5 lower fan leaves with those spots but could be more.

I did a flush last night because I dont get much runoff when I hand water. I did the flush with my water at 6 ph. The runoff water was only 5.4 which is out of range for a variety of nutrients to be uptaken by the plant. Ec was 2500.

Checking runoff E.C. with Grow Dots and fox farm isnt going give you much valuable information. I wouldn’t flush with grow dots. I think you just have a hungry plant. Like mystro said its not necessarily too much light, but in your case it kinda is. Think of light as the engine in a car. The more powerful the engine the more fuel and air flow you need to run the car properly. In your situation with this hungry plant, its like your driving uphill on a windy road.

Put that shit in echo mode (lower the light intensity) and dont waste as much gas riding up this hill

Im not using any fox farm products in my grow just the dots and recharge. I have the remo line I can use I just need to let it dry out a bit after that flush. I have velo kelp, astroflower, nature’s candy, and bloom. Thats what I was using before I switched to the dots. Thanks for help much appreciated

Oh im maybe mixing up posts, thought you were in fox farm. But with the dots being a time released formula, you’re prob gonna have a high ec all the time. Nothing you can do to change that. Flushing just might activate or waste more grow dots

Ya im definitely used to the bottles, I should have it all figured out soon. i have 8 autos all in different stages right now in a larger tent. Running ethos peach crescendo RF3 and there Lilac diesel RBX2. And using canna instead of motherearths coco perlite.
