When drying can u use your fridge to keep it cool..? So, after harvest I found a cool dry place, 59-60 degrees.. but it was stinking up the basement suit, So I had to move it.. found another spot, but its warmer 62-67 degrees, can I counter the warmer temperature by shuffling in and out the fridge?

I’ve tried it with success. The method is called the lotus drying method. Stick fresh typical wet trimmed bud in the fridge and let it rock for two weeks (or until you are around 60%RH)

Most refrigerators maintain a humidity of around 40-50%. This is too dry initially and not how you want to start the drying process. Once dry after a month, sealing bud in a container inside a fridge will preserve it for a long time.

I’ve recently switched to the lotus drying method. I’m using an inverter type wine fridge with a small dehumidifier that I’ve added inside.

Temp is set at 45 degrees and humidity is set at 50%. 10-14 days in the fridge and it’s ready for cure.

I was drying in my basement but the humidity can vary from 30% to 70% depending on season and weather. I’ve only done two grows in the fridge but it’s worked well so far.

$200 cigar humidor from amazon with temp and humidity control. Holds 60deg and 60% humidity perfectly. Takes about 20 minutes to catch back up after I open the door. I have put 8oz in there and it did great after 3 or 4 weeks I jar it up and store the jars inside. I take the lids of for a bit every few days.

If the temps are below 70 you’re doing great. Don’t sweat that. Get a small tent with a carbon filter and you can have better humidity control and the smell will be minimal.

I dry in a environmentally controlled tent. I cure in grove bags. Long term are heat sealed.
