Hi Mr. DGC and Mrs. DGC. !!! ,

I’m not an experienced outdoor grower but I’m a fan of “Free Stuff” you can provide yourself. I will probably end up with less than four ounces off this one sticky, prematurely culled but lofty Jack Herer flowers that would probably be best served for edible consumption… BUT HEY -Im getting close to empty jar situations and I’d rather smoke homegrown larf than dispo barf. (I know what’s in this!)

These Jack Herer fems seem to do better indoors with coco but maybe it’s me. I treated them about the same as the OK Cherries but nowhere had nowhere near the results as that phenotype nor my past indoor experience with the same Jack Fems (my background pic) .

Perhaps I should be growing Jack regs outside instead of Fems???

I brought the second one of the two Jackies into my mudroom entrance (but not inside), hoping to have a better finish than the first. I’m pulling off the colonized leaves hoping to isolate a potential issue with the basement grow before I harvest this other one that didn’t quite have enough time to finish. Am I taking on too much risk for the reward?

What do you think? Should I just burn it all one way or another?

Look, it’s 2025, I can hope on amazon and by the best light made to date for $80.00 US.

I get growing outdoor for fun but, I’m not ever smoking that trash and neither should anyone, unless you okay with all the unseen. Your outdoor grow should be cosmetic and disposable. True story but I know 2 people who died of shellfish allergies from smoking outdoor that had insects and insect poop all over it, neither were ever pre diagnosed and no, it was not the same batch, they were about 15 years apart, so it’s rare but possible and that’s enough for me

Don’t smoke bug hotels, that is fucking gross…

Thousands of years of history be damned I guess. Outdoor herb can kill you now!? 🤣 Are vegetables grown outside even safe to eat? 🙄🙄🙄

    This sounds a little… fishy 🐟🦀🤣

That must’ve been the most disgusting, never washed, dirty outdoor bud to contain that many bugs and bug poo 🤢🤮 Just saying theres plenty of people allergic to shellfish that smoke outdoor weed that are still alive. I’m pretty sure that anti weed community would jump all over this and use it as ammunition.

if it’s still fishy after an hour, you should take a shower.

But don’t let your skepticism stop you from doing your own research. I invite you to use one of my many free Google searches. Keep in mind there is no FDA reporting or regulation or contaminated cannabis product so you’ll have to look for similar agricultural consumables.

I didn’t say it happens often, just that it has happened, and it’s a little bit more than just wise tales around the mountain. There was a bit of panic for a while back in the 90s.

Even a number of People with such allergies die from cockroach peaces in ground coffee every year.

It’s cool that you wanna crush caterpillar-doo in you hookah. That Epsilon shit is Elite, just don’t church it up to be less disgusting that it is.

They’re just aphids. They won’t kill you and honestly, there’s a maximum amount of bugs threshold that the FDA allows in the food you buy in the grocery store.

Anyhow, I’ve been pruning off and discarding the habituated fan leaves and I am washing in baking soda and lemon juice (followed by two rinse baths) and hanging to dry prior to pruning.

The earlier harvested plant is already in jars, but the other one I am finishing up is the one pictured with the little buggers. (Pictured here)

Naw…. Thats a fallacy. You cross contaminated your garden. I grow indoors as well as an outdoor garden and I have RULES. If I go to the grow store, my buddies grow, tend my veggie garden or even cut the grass i wait till the next day to enter my grow….after I’ve showered. Bugs in a home grow means your fucking up somewhere in your standard operating procedures. Anyone that tells ya different is in the same condition as you.

    Possibly.

This plant I at my back entrance and my indoor grow is in my basement. I wouldn’t put them together in the same room.

I sprayed my basement plants with Grandevo yesterday and culled this one this morning and hung outside in the garage. Mixing the wash and rinse baths and hanging back outside with a fan on it until it’s dry.

I only go into the basement room immediately after showering.

    🤞
