Humidifier inside dry tent

    How precise is your dehumidifier?

Most dehumidifiers operate in a 10% range. (e.g. If you set it for 60%, it doesn’t kick on until 65% and doesn’t kick off until 55%.) That wide swing in humidity isn’t great for the drying process, better to control the lung room and let the tent controller (if you have one) handle the tent.

It would probably work well for the first few days, as it would be running constantly. But after that, unless you have a more precise dehumidifier, once it started cycling on and off, the humidity will swing between 55%-65% like every 10 minutes. Probably a near perfect 60% average though.

Heh, I misread the question. Thought it said dehumidifier.

I agree with Newleaf on the subject.

Bit your right about the dehu. Better to controll the lung room and let the controller do its thang

Ive done it in the past, but i try to steer away from it nowadays. What i do sometimes is leave a couple pots i harvested from, and water them. It seems to add humidty less aggressively. My controller is able to keep things nice and steady with adding humidity this way.
