Light burn/bleaching or just genetics?

What’s up gang,, Got a purple punch auto going right now in week 7. Noticed most of my leaves kinda becoming a brighter green but when moving the leaves around they are darker where they have been hidden from the light. Just wondering if my plant is getting too much light or maybe it’s just genetics and nothing to stress about? The plant was sitting at 720 ppfd at the top bud site and around 600 on the sites below the main. Fox farm happy frog, grow dots, recharge and fish shit are what have been used for nutrition.

My last grow was my first successful grow after two prior failed attempts Big thanks to the dgc for all the help this knowledgeable community has given me.

I don’t know a whole lot, only starting my 3rd grow, but it looks like some pretty flower colors to me. How far is she from her estimated finish? Looks gorgeous. 👍🏼

According to the breeder 65-70 days seed to harvest so I’m gonna say in reality probably 90 days.

Ugh, just a leafy plant that wants to be more leafy. I know this ones future. I don’t really believe light intensity is the whole issue. It’s not getting light burn, but it is unhappy with the lack of food/CO2 for the amount of light available. More light you give a plant, the more minerals it’ll expect like nitrogen and carbon. Back off the light intensity and see if there is any improvement over the next week. Also check the media pH with a run off test for EC/PPM and pH to make sure there’s no mineral lockout occurring.

Ahhhhh see there it is, mystro with the knowledge bombs. Did not think about her being hungry for more food as she’s getting more light. Last grow I never went over 500 ppfd with some gg4 autos I grew and didn’t have the leaves brighten up like this one has. Hearing that autos do in fact like the light I decided to bump it up more on this grow and see what happens. Gonna check the soil here in a few and see what that tells me.

With this one you might have to supplement some additional feeding also. Try backing the light down to like 550-600ppfd at the top of the plant. You could even go down to 400ppfd for some recovery time during that week mystro mentioned. If or when you crank the light back up you’re probably going to want to consider some additional feeding along with the dots. Ive seen a lot guys on DGC discord have great success with supplemental feeding along with the dots. Especially with a leafy hungry auto like this girl. Good luck. Ill be giving my first shot at the dots myself soon. Just waiting for the seeds to sprout.

I also used dynomyco at seedling and veg stage, forgot about that. This may be a dumb question but will call mag help or some bloom and bud nutes? I have some of those leftover from a failed photo grow.

I dont really see a mag issue. More of just light colored leaves. Bloom nutes should do just fine. Maybe on first feed give her a larger dose of some nitrogen. One dose of grow or veg nutes then just bloom. Depends on how your nutes are set up to be honest. My Biobizz calls for grow all the way through. I always end up cutting it out at some point near the end though.
