Depends how you like it 10/15% amber is generally considered the peak as that means all the rest should be cloudy with no clear. But that doesn’t mean it’s peak ripeness for you!

I like how you put that. I’ve been using a macro lense and camera to check trichomes the last 4 to 5 rounds and ive noticed a lot of clear when there’s no amber. Ive yet to see all cloudy and no clear, AND no amber. I would rather have an amber than a clear., at least i know some of that is THC. Plus i like it on the slightly couch lock side myself. Helps with my anxiety better.

    Personal preference.

My wife prefers I cull before there’s any amber but I like to wait until there’s some appearing so long as weather and personal time to harvest, dry and trim permits.

One thing i don’t see talked about is time of harvest and effect. The stoner science says harvest early for a more up high and harvest later for a more couch lock. Maybe harvest some of the plant early and the rest later to find what you both like.

    Good luck!

    It varies by plant.

The only way to know it, is to grow it. Grow it long and harvest a little along the way, starting from when you feel it is too early and until you think it’s too late, then evaluate. You’ll know for future runs when is perfect.
