First time using a self watering pot system and noticed the roots today in the water. Is this normal? I am using air stones in the water tank.

It happens. I know auto pots make a copper tray to prevent this. Shouldnt hurt anything, might need to monitor a little more. They will react faster now with that access. To be honest you can probably prune them without harm if they get to long.

Make sure they don’t wrap around your float valve and flood your grow.

Have you ever experienced anything like this. I looked today and there are even more. Seems like they are attracted to the air stones.
