Trouble Dialing In New Ac Infinity Grow Tent

Hi guys first time grower here, I am wondering if it would be ok to start my grow at 64 degrees. I have my humidifier set at 65%. This seems to be the best I can do to dial my tent in for around .8 vpd for seedlings. Any higher with the temps and my humidifier can’t keep up and humidity plummets, sending my vpd out of whack. I am growing in a 2×2 Ac Infinity Advanced grow kit. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you may have!

Turn your exhaust down. It will keep heat better and also your humidity will build up. You’ll have to play with the levels and between night and day temps. It changes when the tent is full. Get a ceramic heater or the aci heater or turn your light up and raise it higher for better heat but keeping the intensity of the light farther till the plants mature. Hope that helps you a little. It’s all (everything) a lot to try and take in at once.

The heat being above 70 at least will really speed things up in terms of growth rate. Like he said you may be exhausting entirely too much. A 2×2 shouldn’t take much to get the heat and humidity up. I’m usually trying to keep my veg in the 80s if I can swing it. It really does have a massive impact on speed and health.

Thanks for the replies. These numbers are with the exhaust fan off. After tinkering with it a bit more, I noticed that’s what I could do with the light off. With the light on I can get it to about 68 degrees 68% rh to stay right around .8 vpd. I have the light setting at 6, I will see tomorrow what raising the light intensity can get it to (it’s late need to sleep soon) thanks for the idea! Heating is not a problem I have the ACI heater which works great. It is the humidity that I am having trouble with. I am growing in my basement which sits at around 60 degrees, 28-30% rh in the winter without any heating or humidifier. The higher I raise the temp on heater, the quicker it lowers my humidity (even with the humidifier) putting my vpd way out of range.

Remember that humidity is relative to temperature. The hotter it is the more water is required to fill the air. Make sure you calibrate your probes. I have two 69 pro controllers one was 8% low and the other low by 6%. Also remember it can vary depending on the height of the sensor as humidity rises so a circulation fan is crucial. Also don’t discount low cost hacks like using a wet towel and a tray with a fan blowing near it etc. Although I don’t have an issue with my ACI humidifier easily maintaining proper VPD in a 2×4. Your basement shouldn’t be that relative to your tent but I live in a warmer climate.
