UV-A Light Usage

a friend bought me the AC Infinity UV-A supplemental light bars. I have just gone down a YouTube and google wormhole. Is there any sort of “Recommended usage” that someone here has used that I can use as a starting point? With UV-A it seems I could theoretically run them full out (after a gradual acclimation), but definitely do NOT want to burn my plants if I read something wrong on the internet. Thanks in advance guys. Very much appreciated.

Been using them the last 3 grows. They are magnetic, so they’ll attach easily to your other AC Infinity lights. They may be able to attach to other lights too, but you want them to point straight down at the plants like the LEDs do. Then just plug them in, and let them run whenever the lights are on. I have had feedback on my grows that flavor improved when I added the UV. I got this feedback in the form of, “Wow, what was different?” So, I consider them really effective.

I run my entire flower cycle with UV-A, with no gradual introduction. UV-A is about 10% of natural sunlight. I find it to add color. As for taste and trichome production, i haven’t done a clone A and B comparison so i can’t say.

Thanks! I figured as much, but I’m always nervous AF with a new method I haven’t attempted yet.

I’d say it’s a stressed response. Which yes….if you only care about thc/thca as an end product then yup. Dump weird light waves, lollipop em, Stress em. That’s how you achieve a mono chemistry within the trachoma. But If you want GREAT smoke then keep everything consistent. Through veg, the stretch, flower, and final. They were meant to grow this way by mother nature. As you can see im running black dogs blurple that where once 1600 bucks a pop and I bought a pair for $250 at my local grow store used a season ago with my own crossbred genetics. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. Not hype tech and marketing….
