Gravitropism

I popped some beans in a damp paper towel inside a baggie. I taped it to the wall to hang vertically. All the seeds germinated with the root downward. Lying flat on the counter always has them circling about.

I did, though, did my best to arrange all the seeds the same way for this.

It did make planting them a little easier, as the root was emerging much straighter.

Has anyone else played with this germination tactic?

It’s been my advice for germinating seeds in a paper towel for many years.

That’s interesting. Like earths gravity or magnetic pull making the roots point down?

YES! Something of the sort. We’re all familiar with gravity, but I think a form of magnetism may be closer to what’s going on, or possibly the torodial aspect of the Aether that surrounds us. When you look further than mainstream science, there are a few more possibilities to inquire.

But I really dont know anything about all that. I do have trust within myself. My personal observation may provide knowledge more than I know.

But, all in all, we’re just doing our best to grow the medicine needed in this world.

      Keep growing! Everyone!

I appreciate all the contributions of knowledge and hard work towards this community . It has guided me. Thank you.

I think it’s just a hormonal thing. Tips go up, roots go opposite. I don’t think they’re sensing any weight.

        Agreed. nothing about weight.

This is different, i’ve always waited for the tap root to take that 45deg turn to plant.

I learned this from an old schooler so I can’t take credit, but I hang a paper towel over the inside of a bowl with about an inch of water in it and let the towel dip into the water like a wick. The taproot grows towards the water. Same idea in nature. Moisture remains down in the soil and roots will hunt for it.

Nice. I like the theory of this technique. I’ll have to try it.
