    Hello fellow growmies,

I have a quick question for the community. I recently purchased a set of Spider Farmer supplemental UV light bars and I’m wondering if these can be run during the dark period without them interfering with my flowering? Is there a chance that running these during my plants sleep phase could cause the dreaded nanners?

As far as I know; you should only use uv lighting for 1 or 2 hours a day. Usually just before lights out, but I would definitely Not run uv when light are off.

  • Perfect! I appreciate the answer….I’ll be turning it off for the dark period 👍

    • No spectrum is beneficial during the dark period. Green is the only acceptable spectrum you can use to work under that does not affect photosystems l or II during the dark cycle.

  • I would think not. Dark period is supposed to be… dark (with the possible exception of Far red/IR for maybe 15 minutes as the lights turn off.) What is your goal with running UV at night?
