admiral-snackbarParticipantDecember 10, 2025 at 1:11 pmI’ve been listening to this podcast for awhile and finally made an account, but I have a little indoor garden upstairs in a spare bedroom and have my grow downstairs. Earlier this morning I checked out my upstairs garden and there are aphids EVERYWHERE, also a wierd thing on my lime tree which ill take a picture of. I havent been downstairs yet today, sprayed the living bejesus out of the plants in the garden with spider mite knock out (i will sacrifice them for the grow if needed). I am open to any inputs on what to do, have never dealt with aphids (i have beat thrips though) and do not want them munching my big beautiful buds.

What are you going to do about the aphids? I just helped a neighbor battle them in a greenhouse. I’ve never had Brad mites but it’s definitely the hardest pest to remove. We ended up using captain jacks and dawn dish soap. It took several weeks. Aphids are born pregnant and can reproduce very fast. They don’t seem to do a ton of damage in small groups. If you miss one it will multiply almost hourly. They tend to live on the stems right under the flowers.

After the knock out settles im going to pure crop upstairs but i refuse to use it as a preventative downstairs since the buds are about 2 weeks from harvest. I know i can kill and stop them upstairs but i dont want them to spread down. Pure crop has always worked in the long run for me when dealing with thrips. I have always changed clothes before entering my little grow chamber but still feel like thats not enough. Broad mites seem much harder to control, glad you got them out! Maybe some type of natural oil to spray around the entrances?

I’m just getting past a near infestation myself. I’ve been using Lost Coast Plant Therapy for over two weeks and pest -free.

Does it seem to be working against aphids? My friend owns that company. Ive been battling a neighbors greenhouse aphid problem anll summer and we thought they were gone. Last night he found some bunched up under some of the last flower he has growing.
