Addicted2AutosParticipantDecember 5, 2025 at 6:42 pmMy buddy has a Mephesto Hubba Bubba Haze autoflower that doesn’t seem to want to finish.
It’s been holding the same for 2 weeks now.

This happens to me a lot with the genetics legally available in Canada. I sort of chalk it up to new breeders etc. I usually just water less, reduce light intensity, and chop them a little early if I have to. If you leave them too long they will start to pop trichome heads. At least in my experience so far. Mephesto is prob way way better genetics than the crap in Ontario, but also it is prob just genetics. Wait 2 more weeks lol

Autos are not totaly un-affected by photoperiod, in a certain way tropical sativas like Haze are also day neutral, so like you induce a Photoperiod strain into flowering, you have to induce the end of flowering with day neutral strains, haze growers will say ; you have to nudge them in steps, two or three including inicial flip to flo. Just make them wanna die slowly, many techniques immaginable, temperatures moderate fluctuations or change of light, one guy said he just moves the plant to a new location in the grow for the last step.

I have been growing Auto Flowers exclusively for a little over three years. I have grown several different strains and have noticed that some Auto’s trichomes cloudy up a bit but never really get “milky”. On the other hand some Auto’s that I have grown the trichomes turned milky at maturity. What I do is always let your plants mature to when the leaves fade. Some strains will turn red or yellow, some will just fade out. Watch the plants close during this phase. When they slow down on water uptake and begin to look a bit scrubby that’s when I harvest them.
