Burping

Burping. What say you about burping while curing. I usually try and burp them once a day . So far, everything is smelling great. I like to cure for a little more than a month or 2. Happy growing, growmies.. peace

There is no need to burp anything if the flower is properly dried for a month before sealing in a container. Burping is ignorant and impatient and I will continue to say so.

I am hoping this is the case. Because I just setup a sole drying tent with ac/dehumidifier. running it at 62 degrees and 65% humidity. It is taking a very long time to dry (12 days and no crispy leaves yet) and I’m sure it will cost a couple extra dollars a day. I’ll probably get to 21 days, then trim and cure. (No burping)

Think of temperature as how fast a bud can get to a certain moisture level and humidity as how much moisture a bud can hold. Only low humidity can turn a bud to dust. 60%+ will never allow the bud to over-dry. At this point (12 days) you can lower the RH to around 55% for a week. I finish drying my flowers between 55-50% RH to store.

Thanks Mystro, I assume you mean drying for a month, because of your experience of growing fully developed buds. Now, in my case, I just started growing for the second time, and unfortunately had issues each time from my inexperience. So needless to say I ended up with some very small buds which would have ended up like powder if I left them dry for a month. Those were clones from some locals. This time I’m trying seeds, and will definitely be hoping for some large colas that will take a month to dry. So, in the future the only time I’ll be burping , will be because I’m taking some out to smoke. Thanks again for all your help. Peace ✌
