    5grams for a clone/cutting in a solo.

I mean I waited 2 weeks or so after sprouting and added the 75. Dug it in about 2-3” deep around the plant. and I flip to flower next week from a 6wk vegg but 4 were with the Dots.. The only thing I’ve seen is a couple tips barely showing nute burn but everyone seems to get it just on the very tip. It’ll be fine.

So you just add the whole 75 grams in a pile a few inches below your plant when you transplant? This is my first time using grow dots. A week ago I transplanted clones from my 1/4 gallon container to 2.5 gallons and thoroughly mixed the 38 grams of grow dots into the soil.

No. Dig a 2-3 in deep trench around my plant, sprinkled it all around then mixed it up really well into the soil around my plant. If I transplanted I would have mixed the pack into the top half of my media that I add when I transplant. That’s just me though and what I did and do with no issues. Yes mix per your container size. I think 15grams a gallon is what it comes to and I’m in a 5gal.

Alright. Because I was thinking after I transplanted that it will take time for the roots to reach out through the soil and how effective it was. So you just mix it in the top and when you water it leaches down into the rest of the soil. I’ll do that with my next set of clones. Thanks!

Bingo brotha 🤙. It’s easy street. Just remember to count day 1 of your Dots to stay on the transition timeline.

I thought grow dots were slow release. Would a plant be in a small cup like that long enough for the slow release to activate?

The dosage of Grow Dots is the daily amount of minerals released and has nothing to do with duration. They’ll release the same amount daily from start to finish. The more you use, the more minerals that will be available daily. They release for a specific amount of time no matter the dosage. 5 grams and 100 grams will release for the same length of time but at different daily concentrations.

That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

It’s pretty amazing how far technology has come in a lot of ways.

You realistically only have about 2 weeks of healthy growth potential in a solo cup before the root space limitations start to effect the plant’s structure. Clones in a solo cup would be happy with 5-8 grams for 2 weeks until you ‘should’ transplant into a larger pot. Seedlings in a solo cup need no Grow Dots. As soon as a seedling needs nutrition (at about 2 weeks), it’s time to come out of the solo cup into a larger pot.
