    Hello guys, love the show.

When running a humidifier could you put a product like Lost Coast in it occasionally for IPM? Would it hurt the device or help control pink algae?

If it doesn’t get evaporated by the humidifier it will build up and you’ll get mineral deposits left behind. Idk anything about lost coast but h202 would be fine for keeping the inside clean, good idea actually.

I use these little fish with carbon to keep my humidifier clean between resets. https://a.co/d/aWTQQdW . But I add a cpl tablespoons of vinegar to the water when they’re sold out.

I use nothing but RO water and still get a mold sometimes. It is more clear than pink, slimy none the less.

My real interest is if this could be a method of IPM application?

aye its key to remember that most humidifiers are actually diffusers that vibrate and shoot that mist into the air so it shouldnt change the composition much me thinks. scotty had a show about humidifiers might be good to check out.

Like ultrasonic? I didnt think of that. Im thinking a warm steam one. Putting the particles smaller and airborn without change, yea might be onto something good

Run some diluted vinegar through it to clean it. Distilled water over ro in my experience. As for adding solutions in, it would probably alter their intended composition. Ever use hard water in it, get that white film all over your grow? I imagine it would be more negative than positive. Maybe something in the ag industry that is made to change composition to be affective as vapor? Interesting topic though, maybe some online digging it can be found.

Ohhh! Like a foliar supplement… interesting. I don’t see why not. Just keep it clean between fill ups. Do a side by side comparison if you’re able.

It wouldn’t be good as a way to deliver a supplement. Concentrations would be higher on some plants. But maybe ipm something to kill mites during veg? But most of those are some kind of oil.

Yes, I see Lost Coast Therapy has soybean oil as it’s first ingredient. That may cause more problems than it is worth.
