I’d personally wait for the other seed to sprout, but it may not. I will usually plant when tap roots have either all sprouted OR have grown to be an inch long (planting after that can be a pain in the ass). Your call. If they are regular beans though and not autos it shouldn’t matter if you pot at different times.

They are autos. I will do as suggest and wait. Should I reorient the one with the taproot so it doesn’t grow into the side of the case?
I started my other plants in Aerogarden Sprout units so it was pretty easy to tell. When the roots escaped the little pod I transplanted. But since Aerogarden is shutting down I can’t really rely on those units and the availability of having access to pods for it.
As long as there’s moisture, the seedling can come completely out of it’s shell before transplanting so don’t feel any need to rush. Most wait until the tap root is about an inch long. Don’t lay the paper towel flat. Prop the paper towel up vertical so the tap root can form perfectly straight down between the fold.
I think the one with the taproot is ready and the one without is not. I’m going to get to setting the medium up for the one with the taproot and get it transplanted. I’ll put a mini dome on it from my Aerogarden supplies until it pops out.
