Do the fables include spores? It’s not too clear on it. Where can I get the spores for the fable if not?

Not on that website. You can go to tanasigardens.com to get a fable kit with spores included. You can get many different strains on tanasigardens.com. I’d also check out ladyhyphae.com for buy one get one deals or fruityspores.com (also run by Lady Hyphae) as they have 50%off all cultures, in case you’re not interested in getting multiple spore syringes. Spore syringes should last 6 months to 2 years in a refrigerator so you can stock up. Get recharge kits directly from Tanasi at Sacredthreemushrooms.com, or if you want a better deal go to mycolabs.com to get your rye berries and substrate replaced. If you want to grow gourmet varieties, they grow better in wood based substrate than manure based, so in that case, go to boomingacres.com to get your sawdust substrate. There’s a few other places to get genetics, but you’ll be set with either Tanasi or Lady Hyphae/ Fruity Spores. Good luck!

I’ve been liking getting the “isolated” syringes from inoculate the world. It comes as colonized liquid culture of a good already grown out isolate of whatever variety you get. Get a kit from sacred three and hit up the bag with a good isolate. although I’ve had all but good grows with spore as well. I use just coir as my substrate for fruiting.

I don’t have specific links on hands as I grow using different teks I’ve found on shroomery and other related forums years back and it’s become second nature. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I’ll let you know what I do. I can give a run down of what I do. I use quart jars for my spawn. Started with birdseed and switched to whole oats using bods easy AF oat tek. I then load them into quart jars that I used rtv silicone to make a self healing injection port. Sterilize for 2 hours in Pressure cooker, then I let cool and shake up the grains. Inoculate with your spores/liquid culture. Throw in a cupboard or drawer and check on them once and awhile and see how they are coming along. Once about 30 percent colonized break and shake the jars and disperse the mycelium. Once fully colonized your ready to prepare you fruiting substrate. I use plain coir with no additives. The bricks used for reptile bedding. Before spawning you should prepare a monotub. I use 56qt tubs or smaller. Put two 2-3 inch holes on the long sides at substrate surface level and 1 2-3 inch holes just below the handles. I use micopore tape to cover the holes and they stay covered from spawn to harvest.

No problem at all. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I’ve tried many different ways and I try to keep it simple. I’ve had much success with spores but for a uniform grow and to try and reliably get a canopy your getting the liquid culture syringes were awesome. Start getting growth right away instead of germination times playing into it. If I were you I would do some spore jars first or at least do some spores and some liquid culture syringes (isolated syringes) from inoculate the world. Their stuff is clean. Can’t report on any other vendors for liquid culture syringes. I’ve gotten spores from lil shop of spores without any issues. I’ve stuck with those two vendors because they work. Definitely could get a kit from sacred 3 mushrooms and get whatever genetics you want from either of those vendors. When starting out I would do the 50/50 Damion’s coir tek. I use just plain coir as I’ve found no benefit to mixing anything with it but it’s tricky getting to field capacity just right. You can definitely find recipes online I’m sure. Usually based on the weight of the brick per how much boiled water you use. I used to do the polyfil in the holes of the tub but I’ve gotten my best wall to wall flushes just putting micopore tape over the holes of the tub right from spawning to harvest. No dialing in necessary like polyfil where you have to find out how tight/loose to stuff the bottom holes vs the top. Liner helps too with clean up/not getting side pins. I’ve even grown straight from the colonized jars with a sandwich bag over top of it and a tiny slit on the corner. I prefer monotubs but you can fruit right from the grow bags once colonized. Fun hobby to get into and don’t get discouraged if you get contaminations. Almost always comes from the spawn you started with. I’ve left plain coco that was left over wet in a bucket for months and nothing ever contaminated it. I didn’t use it in a grow but still pretty interesting. Focus on sterile technique when doing your jars/bags and you should have success.
