I just received the Terraform 7 from UPS today..I’m gonna let it sit for a day maybe two before I play around with it or plug it in..ac infinity and their content creators have kinda dropped the ball on getting videos and more info on this product out..but I’ll keep ya posted..Has anyone else ordered and received the Terraform 7??what’s your initial impression?

What sets it aside from other portable ac units?

It’s supposed be an all in one heater,a/c, dehumidifier..you can utilize a neutral, positive or negative air pressure depending on your need..

It’s best to let it sit upright for a couple of days just to make sure the oil and refrigerant is good and settled before you crank it up because you don’t know if the delivery services had it upright the whole trip to you or if it had been sitting on its side or something and then it burns up the compressor when you crank it up

Yea it was not upright when he unloaded it..I mentioned it to him..that items on a pallet should be kept upright..ac infinity could do a better job marking their boxes to be kept upright as well..but it’s also common sense to me that if it’s on a pallet it should stay upright on the pallet..

If it was loaded on the delivery truck upside down it goes back to AC Infinity blunder. I don’t think putting the terraform upside down is going to hurt it but that equipment is strong enough it probably could work upside down

Anything with a compressor needs to set upright for at least a day to make sure the oil has settled. You can not run a compressor on it’s side or upside down.

I’m giving it 3 days to be safe..I notified ac infinity of this..it was on its side when the driver unloaded it..I’ll post a short video on Monday showing my first thoughts and how I set it up for a test the first time..I’m about a week from harvest,I really need this to work for drying at this point..I’m curious if this machine will take the need for my exhaust fan away..

So it is not recommended it plug this unit into a gfci outlet.which is all i have intalled in my basement…I talked to ac infinity for explanation, they said the unit is designed to run on 120 constant and gfci are typically 125/250 so just a heads up..read instructions well before using this stuff..and don’t be afraid to call ac infinity..they have answered every question I’ve had..and I’ve had several..

Sounds sketch as hell. I believe it’s code now for all basement outlets to be GFCI. Any appliance you use with and or near water should definitely be GFCI. There is absolutely no excuse or reason that this unit wouldn’t have a working voltage range if say 100 to 140 volts, if the components are built so just enough that 5 volts over is too much to handle I would be extremely concerned in the electronic design of this unit. Would be nice if a real electrician actually gave his thoughts on this.

I agree..makes no sense to me either..they used to have the electrical specs listed on the site..now I’m having trouble finding them..honestly almost every home has 15/20amp 125v outlets now days….according to ac infinity it shouldn’t be more than 120 volts..they say not to use surge protector or gfci in the instruction book but doesn’t give a reason..I’m bout to just “send it” with the gfci and see what happens..

Well they need to be called out on this shit tactic of selling an appliance that can’t really be used in the most likely locations according to code. Once one person dies of electrocution than they’ll recommend the use of a GFCI.

Is your basement on a dedicated circuit? Is that circuit controlled by a GFCI/AFCI combo breaker or an actual GFCI outlet? Go to your panel and see. Each breaker should be labeled. Take a couple pictures and post. I could try and recommend a solution with more info

So GFCI outlets will trip with too much load. That’s why they recommend not plugging fridges or freezers into them. When the compressor engages the load could trip the GFCI. You could replace the GFCI with a regular outlet. How many outlets are connected to the GFCI?

Just reached out to AC Infinity. They said that the unit draws 800watts on 120volt so 800 divided by 120 then multiply that by1.25= 8.33333amps to run your unit. Any standard 15amp dedicated circuit should work to run it

Just plugged in the unit today and it does not work..I got it friday, it was on its side when unloaded..I let it sit till Monday untouched..I called ac infinity about the no gfci outlets and no surge protectors, was told it can’t have more than 120v..I finally find a 10amp 120v outlet. I installed the outlet today plug it in an nothing..got good power to the outlet, the green light on the Terraform plug is on, but the controller 69 won’t acknowledge it and it won’t power on independently..I’m so frustrated at this point..I figure I’ll just get the refund and go another route..really disappointing..

Where did you find a “10 amp outlet” lol you know 10 amps at 120 volts of only 1200 watts…. Not enough to run most heaters on high. A 15amp or 20 amp GFCI outlet should run this appliance perfectly. If not, I do believe we have enough evidence to win a law suit should any greasy lawyer try and go that way lol. For me it really casts shade on ac infinity for me but I was already doubting them because of the absurd amount of YouTube influencers they pay off.

My bad ,I meant 15 amp 120v at lowes..I’m just gonna get a refund and lick my wounds..everything else I have from ac infinity is legit..and I may be in the minority of people that have issues with this..it was on its side when it was unloaded..so it was obviously mishandled..there customer service has been top notch so far..I still can’t really talk too bad about ac infinity.my entire setup is ac infinity..this is the first bad product I’ve had..

I know a couple people running the AC complete set up as well and they always have good results. It sucks that they dropped the ball on this one really cool product.
