How long do you VEG?

Just wondering how long you veg, you consider a healthy veg, any adverse effects in shorter/longer veg time on plants/strains?

I have always Vegged 8 weeks ish , topped, trained , etc.

This is my first time pushing plants through veg in order to keep perpetual grow moving. I am vegging about 30 -32 days. I top twice. This is working extremely efficient in order to keep plants small and healthy with lots of canopy. Difficult using seed and playing with plant size per strain during stretch. Kept a couple of moms to help me with that problem in the coming months.

7 to 8 weeks from the day the seed pops up. I top 2x as well. Once 1x after 4th node. Then I let the sides catch up 1-2 weeks. Then top again 5 to 6 tops from each plant. Then let them stretch.

I also have questions here. When I started all this, I had a tent. Now, I have a basement and am sort of adapting on the fly. I’ve got 2 new plants, which I was planning on putting into veg in a few weeks, but now that I can’t use the tent, I have nowhere for the 2 new plants to go for the next 8 weeks. Would it hurt me at all to just … let them catch up? And then put all four into flower at the same time?

If you can SOG the older plants and just flip the new plants early

I started growing weed almost 3 years ago but 3 months ago was the first time I could say I knew HOW to grow weed 😆🤯🤪 I spent weeks in veg topping, bending, fimming, adding nutrients, adding lights etc etc etc put in another way: I’ve done probably all mistakes you can do but still get a harvest because I was trying to do all at once. Watching videos on YouTube an learning new techniques and trying to implement everything right away. Now I just top once or twice and some LST and that’s it and then 4 weeks in veg is enough for me. I got one good tip when topping clones: top them as soon as they have rooted, I top my clones the same day I transport them from my aero propogator and put them into their first pot & coco👍👍

It all depends on what genetics I’m growing but I usually veg from 16 – 35 days depending on the plant and how much it stretches after the flip to flower most things I grow are thin leaf longer flowering from 10-12 weeks some get topped some don’t

Seems like I can’t beat 8 weeks from reg. seeds…but my limit is 12 plants so I always have a least a pound of dried flower on hand so I never rush it …I wait for good health in all plants and once that is reached then it’s topping lollipopping and trellising…and I grow alone so that can take me a week to get that done then a week of recovery…fems are way easier and I ll flip than in 30 days easy..

    Btw I grow w/ soil in 20 gal pots…

DWC grower. Maximum for me is 30 days after seed pops and as early 20. My tent is only 60″ so keeping them out of the lights is a challenge.

Same. Small area. Keeps the long stretch from getting out of hand if you do not know how your girl will flip.
