So I’m digging old grow equipment out of garage. Plugged in my 6″ in line fan and it sounded like a jet after it really got going. 135 watts and loud as heck.

I convinced need a new one

    Dang I’m cheap lol

Check out vevor I got my 6 inch with digital controller. It’s the same as spider farmer. I got mine on a sale for like 54 vs 125 for the “grow brands. And it’s like 60 watts at full send.

Not sure if you’re using the fan inside your Grow room or on the outside… If you put it on the inside of the room and use some ducting it deadens some of the sound, or have you tried blowing through the ducting into a carbon filter? Use some good thick ducting From the fan in the Grow room to the carbon filter outside of the room, I’m imagining it works like a muffler

Search Hon&Guan 6” inline fan on Amazon they’re variable speed up to 400 CFM, at half speed there’s decent output and they’re fairly silent for $30usd

I_b_topping I’ve had 2 fans off Amazon from cheap brands both were flat our liars. The first was a 4 inch fan was supposed to move 250 cfm. Maybe 90 cfm with no filter. The second supposed to be 400 it may have given 150 cfm. The fan you mentions is really a booster fan and I’d be shocked if it moved 200 cfm before a carbon filter. The fan shapes that spider vevor ac infinity and mars use are really the only decent designs for actually air velocity. (I do ventilation for my occupation)

I buy aci gear of this nature. It may cost a bit more but its well worth it.

Aci is a good brand. Their connectivity does kinda make then slightly better than their competitors. That being said the fans are all made the exact same way as spider farmer vevor and mars as well. If you have the whole shebang to link them together yeah ac infinity is worth 250 but if not I’d much rather spend 70 and get an identical product. Ac infinity sets themselves apart through marketing.

Thanks folks. I really appreciate all the feedback 🙏

But to Quote the great Jambo

    “Buy once, Cry Once”

And I’m tired of crying over low end stuff like that cheaper brand that starts with a v. Vision something

I got their 6″ pole mounting circulating fan and I hear this grinding noise as it circulates back and forth.

I should have gotten AC Infinity to start with.

Don’t buy cheap unless you ok with buying it again 😟
