Wanted to share the status of the grow. The area in the garden for the girls is 8×16. 6 plants and they officially hit 6′ tall. The top of the chain link is about 6’4″ above the weed barrier. I am astonished at the growth. I wasn’t expecting this. Basically there is a solid 8×13 canopy. Since they were poking out anyway I’m going to try and use the chain link like a vertical scrog…lol. in the ground on 6-1 so this is 6 weeks of growth. I can’t seem to get the pics in order on this but there is the same view on 6-1, 6-14, 6-28 and 7-12.

The one question I have……DO I just let them run of get under there and defoliate? If I trim them, how much should I go at it? In western NY I assume I’d be starting to flower in 3-4 weeks?

The tomato plants are giving them a run for their money.

Beautiful! I love everything about this build.

I recommend getting in and cleaning the insides of the plants out for the sake of airflow and directing energy into the tops. Hollow them out so that you have about 50cm long colas. The stuff close to the main stem will never develop into good nug.

Thank you. I will have to spend some time on my back this weekend.

I’ve got one of those neoprene swim floats that I laid on the last time I went through. I need an all-terrain auto creeper. lol

Wanted to share an update. This will be 8 weeks since I transplanted into the outdoor garden (6-1). I am very pleased with the growth. Seems to have filled out the 8’x16′ area pretty well. The Lemon Haze has started to flower. Still nothing on the Wedding Cake, Bruce Banner or Maracuya. I’ve cleaned out a lot of the under canopy. Side note: The grow dots/recharge work great on the tomatoes, The vegatable side is like a jungle.

There is a white widow on the patio as well. It’s on the same timeline as the garden and it is just starting to flower as well.

New update. The Lemon Haze and the Bruce Bbanner are flowering. Whole different look that the autos I grew inside for my first grow. The Wedding cake is now at 9′ tall and the Bruce banners, lemon haze and Maracuya are at 8′. I went in and cleaned out the understory on these and I think that will be the last time. I’m gonna let them run. In ground with Growdots and Rrecharge. If any of the growdot users could give me one tip to add for bloom….what would your pick be?

Since this is a combo garden I wanted to share the Veg side. the tomato plants are anywhere from 4-8′ tall. Beefsteaks are stacked up, but we are starting to get cherries and plums to enjoy with the cukes. The cucumber on the fence is one plant. We’ve already taken 15 cukes off that one plant.

Update on our patio plant. White widow. starting to fluff up at the bud sites. Since I am only at the outdoor garden on weekends it is nice to see her daily development. I need a bigger pot for next year though. It’s probably 7-8 gallons but I’d like to have a 15 just to buy a little watering time and make some more nutrients available. (Gowdots and Recharge)
