Seed #2 made it! 24 hours to the minute after I dropped it in the shot glass it has popped and peaking a lil tap root out!

Just gonna give her another day or so to extend that tap root a tad bit and then I’ll plop her in some soil and call it Day 0!

Thanks! I just checked the one in the puck and its popped too! So provided they both make it and everything, I’ll probably pick one to flower and one to keep for a mother. The tent I’m ordering for flower is just a 2×2 so I think I’ll be experimenting with flowering clones in solo cups like Scotty brought up a little while back. I’ve grown sweet peppers to maturity in solo cups before so I have the chops for it theoretically

You don’t want to pick a plant to flower and one to mother from seed. They are not identical twins. They’ll most likely be drastically different plants. You want to grow them both, clone them both, flower them both, then pick the best one to turn into a mother. https://dudegrows.com/mystro-cloning/

Maybe in the future when Im looking for keepers. Right now I dont have the space to keep a mother long term. Just looking to take one or two rounds off it and get some good practice in before it goes into the tent. While Im still very space limited I want to keep the goals simple. Get the grow cycle started and get just a little bit of mileage out of these seeds. Then I’ll grow out the two freebie strains while I’m waiting on the next seed order. Strain hop a bit till I find what I like growing the best.

If figure by the time I have a half dozen grows worth of first hand experience under my belt I’ll get an idea about what process works best for my situation. Then I’ll start looking at trying to lock down a for sure keeper.
