Well what’s your grow style, grow medium, strain, ppfd, vpd, nutes. Need info. I probably won’t have an answer because I’m on my first grow but someone will
-
Temps and light intensity have a big role in that. I have got light fluffy and foxtail with to high surface temp from to much light.
-
My temps in all four tents 73 to 75 … 1.0 vdp
In bud tents and perfect pH both in soil and water… We have some of the best water in the world…. Where I’m at…
-
Increasing your temps to 78-85 will increase the stomata size on the leaves allowing for more co2 uptake which will increase yields.

1st is genetics, can’t outgrow bad genetics.
2nd environment, light intensity or lack of, and heat can play a role in bud density.
3rd is nutrients, is there a nice balance of npk and the minerals the plant needs. Being out of balance or low on what the plant needs can cause a low yield.
and finally harvesting, a lot of new growers will harvest too early and not giving the bud enough time to fatten up.
hope that helps

pH is great .. in solution and roots
Runoff is perfect
I’ll post more pics tomorrow

Nice stalk! See some knuckles, very nice. Plant looks great. I would go with lights or genetics off those pictures. Or use of the current equipment.

Download a ppfd app, Par meter and measure it. Even a leaf temp wouldnt hurt, if capable. Lights have come a long ways. Mine is 4 years old and im ready to update. Thats my biggest guess for lights as well.
-
Yea ….mine yr 1/2 .. but I have a par meter and it says it’s good ..even inside the canopy….
This is a 2x2x4 tent.. fully automated.. 73 to 75 temp. ..Coco perlite mix .. liquid fert…( Close measurements)… One 350 w led light.. checked and cleaned daily… She has approximately 2 weeks till harvest… They just seem small
Amnesia XXL strain

You could go way warmer in the temps under an LED. The surface temperature of the leaf is what really matters and more often than not it’s a few degrees F cooler than what ambient is. 350w in a 2×2 should be plenty, I run 300w in my 3×2 and it doesn’t even get turned up to 100% and 150w in my 2×2. If you can crank the intensity up more, might be worth it. One of those kitchen infrared laser thermometers works great to measure leaf surface temp.
I think the two most important things for dense buds is genetics and light. Then there’s leaf to calyx ratio’s, there’s a lot of genetics out there that are more leaf than calyx. It’s like a catch 22. You can have good genetics but a shitty light isn’t gonna do much. But the best lights can’t make bad genetics, good. Not that I’m aware of at least xD

The Top 20 winners of the Encyclopaedia of Recreation Drugs (1979) 2 page glossy spread. All of them skinny. But people forget they were also the Top 20. I’d cross with a Girl Scout Cookies hybrid of mine using the GSCx as the female. Then any ganja will be fat. Maybe you don’t have a male. It is good weed so good on you for growing it.
