Canna Butter

    Anyone making butter for holidays? I’ve made it before with mixed trim. Was really strong but not exactly uplifting like I wanted. So I’m going with a ratio of Jack Herer 1.5 oz of wonderful cured bud per 8oz Kerry Gold Butter. Decarbed toaster oven 230* for 40 mins. In the crockpot extra low overnight 12 hours or so 🤞. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks DGC

  • Definitely make butter i do it stove top after decarb. Takes about 4 hours overall. Never tried crock pot. 12 hours seems long but maybe I’m wrong.

    • That was roughly a QP in that butter

    • I’ve done 4 hours in crockpot before on low. I put this on “extra low”. I plugged it into a dial timer for overnight 15 minutes on and off. Temp with IR Therm 130* to 160*. few places on interwebs said longer the stronger? Will keep posted I did have a small bit off a spoon a couple hours in. I should have been asleep two hours ago lol

      • Think it might be too strong lol. Definitely the best I’ve done and first time with single strain. Not sure if Jack is best for edible. All an experiment. Lucky to be able to do it

  • Next time use coffee filters to wrap up the plant material like a tea bag and tie it at the top…no separation needed after the extraction

  • Made another round of butter and a jar of oil today
