fabric grow pots

Unless the plant previous has shown any signs of not being healthy, I will reuse the fabric pot without washing. If a plant looked suspicious, it gets tossed. Fabric pots are too cheap to gamble like that.

I mean, its not like I wash my reused soil. Same rules apply, IMO.

I brush mine out, thrown them on the lawn and hose them down with the garden hose. After they dry in the garage I throw them in the washer.

My wife has flower pots she has been using for decades. She clones and doesn’t even know what the hel cloning is. Likewise my outdoor grower friends, their biggest challenge is keeping the deer away from their plants.

I grew up on a hobby farm and worked on a truck farm in the mid sixties. I’m partial to being more of a gardener than chemist/programmer. These are plants that survived tens of thousands of years outdoors.

Plant hostas on the other side away from your grow. Dear love eating them and it might distract them from the girls.

I use smart pots. After a grow I let them dry. Then I take a rag and knock off all excess debris. Then toss it in a bucket of water and let it sit for a few days. Then I rinse them off a clean bucket of water and let dry completely before reusing. I’ve had mine for 3 years and still performing well.
