I’m using this one https://acinfinity.com/grow-accessories/propagation/seedling-heat-mats/suncore-s3-seedling-heat-mat-with-heat-controller-ip-67-waterproof-10-x-20-75/
I keep it on high, BUT that just depends on where your nursery dome is set up. Mineis in a room that only gets to 68f – 70f So def important to monitor the environment inside you clone dome/seed starting area.

THX Dude I fixing to pop some & was wandering what yours was set on I was 68 but was planing on bumping it up the for you reply
-
I’ve got the fancy AC Infinity heat mat and thermostat and it’s cool, but TBH for years I’ve just been plugging my heat mat into the outlet, and it seems to do fine without a thermostat.

Looking like a good start Dude. Great temp and humidity for the start. Looking forward to the updates!

You ever done any micro-grows in smaller containers? I’m wondering how pot size relates to final plant size in terms of Autos!
-
I grew one in a 1 gal cheap plastic pot not long ago just because I had some auto seeds. Threw some dots in some coco and didn’t do anything but water…. She actually did pretty good… my wife kinda over watered it when I was out of town and some of the leaves turned yellow but I was honestly impressed .
-
I plan on doing these to see how much I like growing that particular cultivar then perhaps using that knowledge to know what I’d like to start breeding. I’d like to use a few of my plant slots for a breeding run and see what I can come up with 😀

Looking good dude. I have never been able to soak the seeds. If I put them in wet paper towel most time they are sprouted in 2 days. If I use a cup on a heating mat at about 23 Celsius they sprout in 1-2 days.
Keep up the good work and looking forward to your next update. Best of luck!

So far the last batch of auto seeds I got have had about an 80% germination rate and the longest to sprout has been three days.

Gonna try to soak my seeds this time around. Always been a paper towel method kinda guy. What is your take on adding H2O2 for more O2 concentrate?

This was 4 days after planting. 18 hours on light with temps 80f. Lights off temp got down to 70f I figure just like nature. Fingers crossed for other 2. Seed stock was from 2022 so should be good to go!

Its always super exciting to see the seedling has popped. I hope the other two pop as well.
In your experience do you think its best to have the seeds in a warmer temperature or the same temperature as any larger plants you may be running? I’ve only done grows of 1 so far so I’m not sure on this, I can setup an entirely separate area in a dome if needed. Which I’m thinking may be the best option is having a seedling dome over in this room with my weak lights running on the seeds.
I am following the germination advice of the company from the first seeds I got. It came with a nice little case and they suggested the paper towel method by folding it up and having it fit in the case. Its a black light tight casing so perfect for germination. It suggested between 25-28 so I put it on my studio monitor speaker that generates decent heat in my bedroom with a hygrometer so I could track its temps.
I’ll definitely be keeping these cases as germination cases in the future because it sure worked well, I put the seeds in the case Thursday at 10:53pm. One was ready to plant yesterday and the other seems ready today. No plant pops yet.
I’m not sure if I planted the seed deep enough because I planted the tail down and the seed is just below the surface and seems to pop up a bit when I watered it. I think if the root takes hold and grows more it will be fine.
-
I set up a nursery dome, I am goin to want it more humid than my vege area. Like 70 to 80% I think we are going to talk about your micro grow and seeds on the show coming out this Sat FYI!

What’s the flower time? I grew out the super lemon haze and i think it was 11 weeks
-
Sounds ok to me , soil is soft . I would fine mist it with a spray bottle for a few days. try not to float it.
-
I definitely was not trying to float it. Literally gave it a shot glass and it floated while the water sunk and I had a moment of panic and just calmed down and re-buried it. 😀
Not sure if this comment was for me or not, If it wasn’t just disregard.

I was wondering if that could happen… I saw the little pink lemonade auto pushing out against the medium and wondered… If the stem comes out wrong could the plant hammer head so bad it rips the whole top off? I guess you’ve confirmed this for me.
Francos Lemon Cheese, Get big and strong for dude!

I had a thought today @Dude I’m wondering if the plant is close enough to the light? Perhaps it is cultivar specific but my plants are much shorter than yours with true leaves forming already under the Sprout lights. The Sprout lights are only 10w each so you’re providing more than enough light for sure!
I’d put the PPFD Meter on your phone onto the pot and see what they are getting and slowly raise the phone and see what the leaves are getting. Make sure its in that 100-300 mols/s range that you want for a Cannabis Sprout.
I just have a feeling that its running low even though its under a strong light based on the plant growth from the video in the first day and later on. If this is an auto then it will affect the whole grow because the cotyledon energy is being misused in stem elongation rather than leaf and node development.
I hope this is helpful knowledge from one grower to another. 😇

NGL without multiple grow areas and having an extra “quarantine” area… The idea of quarantining your plants is great… But where do you do it so they stay healthy long enough to go with the rest of them?
I’m sure most of us realize this that quarantine is nice… But damn near impossible in a home grow as well.
-
I totally agree with that! Quarantine is a nice gesture I suppose. Very hard to take time to do it properly….

Killer man! I’m a week behind you. I’m trashing my guerrilla tent thing for an ACI 5×5 that’ll hold the same flood, cleaner. 🤘🏼

Nice. Hopefully that 2 letter abbreviation stays away this time 🤙
