I just Wana see what everyone uses for ipm in flower. I used neem up until week 3 of flower but I didn’t feel comfortable spraying it once flower started forming. I’m a little freaked out because in my vegetable garden I found some green peach aphids. I immefiatley sprayed neem oil on vegetables. Now I’m really worried I will get them on my grow. I live in a condo so my vegetabke garden on the balcony is not very far from my grow tent. I used neem oil and buildasoil em5 (em1 mixed with alcohol, apple cider vinegar, and molasses) alternating weekly. My question is if it’s safe to still use neem oil in flower? If not what is safe alternative in flower? I have not seen any aphids on my cannabis but I just want to stay ahead of the issue. Any advice is appreciated!

I just started using lost coast plant therapy this past grow….I spray everything the outside of the grass root pots, the floor and walls, the soil and stalk and branches late in flower…it’s basically essential oils and alcohol …I don’t think the oils will last any time to impact flavor…but I didn’t see a need to spray my buds directly…good luck

Thanks everyone. Looked into lost coast and looks like a good product. Just ordered a bottle. Hoping I don’t see anything on my girls until it gets here.

You may also consider putting other plants between your grow tent and outdoor garden to help prevent pest migration. I use mint, lemongrass, and lavender plants outside my doors and windows that are fragrant and put out essential oils of their own which seems to help prevent pests. They smell good, provide color and variety, are a cover for why you may have so much gardening equipment coming to your home, and are a simple tool for pest prevention.

I’d get a bag of ladybugs, and release them on your balcony instead.

I was thinking about using D.E.. Supposed to be safe in flower if you keep it off buds. Organic, food grade, and from what I’ve read, effective. Some benefits to soil. Aids in nutrient uptake I think.

DE is good for any soil mites and larvae. Becomes useless when it gets wet but effective again after drying out. It also provides silica for the plant but very slowly because it has to be broken down by microbes before uptake. I used it for a pretty bad fungus gnat infestation.

Wish I had known about it when I was dealing with gnats. I got so annoyed I burred em in sand which worked mostly but caused other issues. I hate those dang things. All I gotta do is see 1 and I’ll be convinced there is like 8 flying around in my nose for the following 72 hours.
