I’m curious as to what the DGC does for IPM. Let’s hear it!

What does your IPM strategy look like, and what tools or techniques have been the most effective for you? How do you balance preventative measures with treatments when managing pests and/or diseases?

Though overkill for most, I thoroughly enjoy using an electrostatic sprayer for applying foliar IPM concentrate like Lost Coast Plant Therapy or Pure Crop 1… You just squeeze the trigger and the tops and bottoms of all the leaves are coated. 🤙😁

I’m sure there’s plenty of opinions (and experts present to chime in) on what to use and when.

Personally I’ve had great success implementing micronized sulfur…but it’s corrosive (think tent poles/lights) and long term use can lead to molybdenum deficiency in your plants… So I reserve that for certain situations.

Also, I have continued success with Lost Coast Plant Therapy. Eliminates PM as advertised and demolishes mites. A big plus is it smells like peppermint. 😁

Oh. Important to not to NOT use sulfur or an oil based product within 6 weeks of each other on the same plant. Sulfur and oil don’t mix. Will burn your plants.
