Leaf mutation?

Culver-CreekParticipantJune 5, 2025 at 1:13 pmI sure don’t have a lot of experience, but this one took me by surprise. This White Widow photo was in my tent, and I was trying to keep her smaller until I could get her outside. That caused her some stress but once outside and transplanted with Growdots and recharge, she is doing much better on the new growth. The growth since the transplant has all had this extra lobe on the leaves. So the top half of the plant all have 10 lobes. The pic shows how the extra comes out of the middle. Is this unusual or just one of those “sometimes shit happens” items?

This is cool. Does every leaf have it? Do you think you can propagate it?
Is this how new varieties, like ‘Freak Show’ come about?
Interesting…

Just love it like it’s your child with 11 toes. I had the same happen with this strain. It smokes just fine. 🍻

Long story that is not well known, there was a time, and maybe this still hapens, when humans thought it was a good idea to get back a couple of cromosomes that the plant used to have…but as they threw in randome intervention, the first generation is toxic and bizare, but the mutants are stabilised in a couple of generations… so now, so many strains got the treatment are interbread that it throws out some random abnormal growth… all in all, all is good for now, low toxisity and high yields are becoming the norm.
