75°F on a sunny November morning and I see no other bugs roaming around other than hundreds of these special lil predators so I figured I give her some sun. Alaskan Bananaberry Auto by seedsman.
It’s an Asian multicolored lady beetle larva. They’ve been cutting pine trees in the neighborhood covering everything in white pine aphids(they don’t eat anything but pine? afaik) a couple weeks later and all the lady beetle larva showed up… there are 10’s of thousands them and not many aphids left.
She turned out small but at least she stacked ok for her size. She’s at the start of week 4 flower with resin just now showing up. Not expecting much from her…she does smell kind of putrid though.
Week update. She’s starting to swell and smell. For my first auto she is taking her time for everything and it’s small. Slow and small is not for me, I won’t be running this cultivar again but what could I expect from a freebie pack.
Seedsman Alaskan Bananaberry Auto in 1.5gal soil with growdots and recharge once a week.
27 grams dry. It trimmed up pretty and has a really nice sweet smell…actually almost like a banana, who would’ve thunk? Packed one small bowl and put the scissor hash on it and heat sealed the rest in a grove bag and put it away. So far it smokes nice I’ll update in a month after some curing to see what it’s really about.
