I would very much like to document this here if it’s okay. My last two runs were deleted on IG.

I just finished up my first year solo growing autoflowers, & getting my process down. I’ve decided on some upgrades.

I have very limited space & am a permanent resident, so I have to conform to my limitations. I have room for a single 2×4, so a year ago I began planning the set up for the absolute best 2×4 set up possible for my situation.

I’m also basically crippled, & automation is a massive priority, as is organic growing. I also decided to switch to photoperiods for the first time & want to experiment with spectrum tuning.

So, if does not offend too much I’m going to track my entire process and grow here. Please let me know if I’m crossing a line or being an annoying ass.

I’ve decided to run Sensi Feminized Northern Lights for the simple reason I love NL & I also know is is a very easy and uniform cultivar that will be a good baseline for my new SOP.

I’ve upgraded to a 50 gallon reservoir with a submersible pump running Intermittently throughout the day to keep the water from getting stagnant. I’m hoping this will solve my ph stability issues.

Replaced my two ViparSpectra xs1500 Pro’s with a Migro 250L (She’s Sexy BTW)

I have the full set of Mars Hydro AdLite’s to run at different stages of growth.

I’ve also replaced my Spider Farmer Self Watering Bases with an Autopot Tray2Grow with two 7 gallon Grassroots lined living soil containers.

Running new grow media as well. I mixed a bag of BAS 3.0 with a bag of pumice and 2 gallons each of BAS worm castings & charged biochar with some basalt rock dust mixed in & will be running primarily BAS top dress nutrients. I plan on continuing Recharge, but will be adding a bit of dehydrated coconut water to the weekly mix as well.

I feel youre over doing this mix. 3.0 delivers great right out of bag. This is my soil go to when testing genetics. Its very balanced and last past harvest with only adding water. I use it as a constant so i have nothing added to any plant the whole cycle. Cuts a lot of variables out. Biochar is harm if over 10% which 3.0 already has some. Im not saying you are doing harm, but makes my mind go lol. Kick ass set up, you will enjoy this im sure! The craft blend is all all around good top ammend that pairs perfect with that 3.0. 1/4 cup per planter maybe at flip is all you will need.

I did debate this actually & this is also one of the reasons I wanted to post all this here. I know I’m going to get solid advice & honest feedback.

I wanted more aeration using the Tray2Grow & needed to balance an entire cubic foot of pumice, hence the added (charged) biochar & castings.

I ended up second guessing my math and hit up BAS for advice. Seems balanced enough, but what do I know. Time will tell.

It’s another reason I’m running NL. It can take my mistakes.

I didnt take to factor the aeration. Good call hitting them up! Rock on with it!

I was fortunate enough to try BAS 3.0 when the grow store near me was open and carried it. Im not too familiar with Tray2grow, but BAS 3.0 has a ton of pumice in it already. I dont think you need to add any more for aeration. 3.0 is strong stuff, and doesnt need anything added to it in the beginning. The craft blend top dress will def come in handy due to the fact that your only using 7 gal pots.

So, pots are filled, cover crop sown, & red wigglers added to the pots. I placed my seeds in Root Riot cubes that were then placed in solo cups filled with my media.

    DLI-10

    Temp-77

    VPD-0.65 kPa

    I’m super freaking stoked.

Nice looking tent. 👍🏼 I personally see nothing wrong with logging your grow here. I would suggest it might be easier to keep track of if you posted on your timeline. Wouldn’t have to find it in a discussion group. ✌️

Just a quick update as life got super busy again.

Only one seed germinated & I do not wish to start another a week behind due to the training and spectrum tuning I have planned.

So, I’m switching gears & am going to just run the single plant & try to fill the space with training techniques.

The one that did germinate is doing well.

    Another super quick update.

Life really has gotten a bit out of control so I haven’t been able to pay as much attention as I would like.

She’s looking solid though and should be ready for transplant Saturday.

Update and a question for the DGC.

    This morning was fun!

Finally had a small amount of time to get some work in today. This is why I’ve upgraded my automation. I work insane hours and just don’t have much time.

Chop & dropped, transplanted with Mycos & Azos, replenished the mulch layer, hit her with Recharge & coconut water.

Now the cool stuff begins. Activated the Mars Hydro 15w 440nm blue supplemental lights & synced them to the main lighting.

I’ll be quad-manifolding this girl out to maximize the tent so I’m hoping this will keep her squat during veg.

Anyone have advice on spectrum tuning? I’ll be running the Adlite UV, IR & Far Red during flower. I have a general idea of what to do, but would love to know how others implement it.

I’m thoroughly enjoying this grow style!<div>

It’s kind of relaxing not having to stress about sending her into flower by accident.

She’s looking good at day 21. Seems like the blue supplemental is doing its thing and keeping the plant short with tight node spacing.

Going to give it another week before I start my manifold and activate the Tray2Grow.

I’m seriously in love with this grow style!

It almost seems too lazy, but so far great results. Lady has shown zero stress throughout.

Topped on Wednesday. Today, lower nodes were chop & dropped leaving only nodes 3 & 4. Wounds sealed with clonex. Cover crop chop & dropped. Small handfull worm castings added to mulch layer. Hand watered 1/2 gallon weekly mix of recharge, aloe & coconut water. Reservoir ph verified at 6.5. Tray2Grow activated. Lights adjusted back to 16 inches from canopy. DLI set at 30.
