I was gifted two photoperiod plants, Erie Maiden, that are looking a bit unhealthy on their fan leaves, I believe they may be around 6 weeks old currently. Trying to diagnose some leaf issues and looking for advice I can apply moving forward. Thanks!

Outdoor grow currently, will be moving into a 4×4 soon.

Is this just a little bit of nitrogen deficiency or needs some cal mag?

    • Roots for Grandpas Cookies and Erie Maiden

    • How did I do?

      • Im sure they will be much happier! Im running an ethos cross of that grandpa cookies. Its chunky! Happy growin!

        • My first time with them but I’m very impressed. I’ll try to keep a cutting for a mother or maybe just reveg after harvest.

  • root ball looks great . should have some very dank nugs on that

    • Should I worry about the darker roots? Is this a sign of early root rot?

      • Those roots are plenty white. Dark roots are more a worry in water culture. In media they will be in a swamp type appearance. Saturated, stinky, rotted looking.

  • Wow, All this foxfarm reminds me of the good old days when I started growing. I used to ride that same train before I went organic. Silica is present in my soil. I use vermiculite, and rice hulls with a lil diatamatious earth to provide silics. I use mycos and recharge to regulate and provide the nutes to my girls. I don’t have a PPM or EC meter any more. Hell I don’t even have a pH meter anymore. Pretty much water only until a bloom top dress with “Flower Girl,” mycos, worm castings and recharge. I’ll stick with my “Earth Box,” and focus on dialing in my environment. Back at the start I never added silica, so I guess I’m no help…sorry.

    • I think I’ll try a full organic run on my next outdoor and treat deficiencies with liquid nutes, if any arise.

      • True organics wont be using bottles to treat deficiencies. They use the soil food web. Compost, bacterias, acids, ferments and teas, worms beneficials to break down material. Not just dry ammendments but layers of mulch and roots from cover crops, etc. Its a lot of bioactivity. We feed the soil, not the plant.
