I started on attic stairs, went to 2×4, then 5×5, 4×8, now a room. A 4×4 is plenty enough to maintain year round, a 4×8 gives you lounge area. It all determines your space and budget. I have a 7×13 area now with a 4×4 bed, 1 light for just the bed. Extra area never hurts if you got it. I use curtains to isolate the light to the plants and not the whole room. Larger is easier to stabilize.

Food for thought. A larger space, like a large pot of soil, will give you a certain amount of “buffering” against quick or drastic swings in the environment. Just remember, you have to have the ability to supply the initial inputs for stabilization….plus who doesn’t want a “big ass’ baller” tent.😀

my two sense, a 4×4 tent can grow a lot of flower. with a smaller tent to feed it you will out grow your needs fast. that said 4 x 4 lights and all the equipment are much cheaper than larger tent. hundreds of dollars in light price alone.

I built a 9.2’x11.6′ room in my basement for lung room it fits 2. 2×4′ and 1. 4×4′ tent with room to walk vent and maintain the space. 2x4s are 80″” tall 4×4 is 72″ gabel roof . wish i had gotten 80″. flat top.
