SO i bought an R/O system. the main reason is the humidifier. I normally use 3 filter water for growing. i am using growdots i dont have to worry so much about the 200ppm water.

However, are there any tips for using r/o water as feed water? anything to avoid? which is better?

Minerals buffer pH. No buffer with RO.

I RO my water and life near where 35e and 35w come together near running aces. I ph mine and RO strips minerals so the main thing for me is adding cal-mag. Cal-mag is a running joke for people who can grow with their tap water but people using RO water need to be aware of possible cal-mag deficiency.

Aside from that I like using RO. It’s like starting with a clean slate. I PH every batch of RO I filter but don’t check it again when I use it. Mine normally comes in between 5.8-6.3 after I RO and I grow in soil and fertilizer is organic. Every once in a while when weather goes from dry to wet or wet to dry my PH can change.
