New seed day is finally here!!

I dont know if its an abundance of faith or hubris but I only did one seed to start out. Usually with my veggie garden I will start 3 or 4 times the number I want to end up with and whittle them down when its time for transplanting. But here I want to see how far I can get with this one seed by taking cuttings before flower and keeping the cycle rolling like that. Either until crop failure or I just get ready for a switch up on the strain. This is a very small indoor grow, so I wont really have space to play with multiple strains at a time.

First up is one of the Purple Punch seeds!

I know most people use paper towels, but I get stronger seedlings when sow my seeds directly into the grow media they’ll be growing in. So that’s what I did here as well. Most times when I use seed cells I will sift the media to remove perlite and large chunks, but because of the root growth habits of most cannabis (and the fact Im sticking to a single seed) I planted directly into a solo cup, with a little clear one on top as a humidity dome. That why she can spread here little feets as far as she wants to early on before being slowed down by the cup walls later on.

Nice man, getting new genetics in is always an exciting time!🔥🎯 And I’ve only heard good things about Barneys Far (one of the non white lable seed companies out of the Netherlands) and I am currently growing a clone of their Blueberry Cheese and its looking stellar so far!

And as for not using the paper towel method, I don’t use it either as long as you are getting good germination rates don’t worry about changing it up!!

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Barney’s, so I’m excited. This is my first time ever actually ordering seeds online where I can at least somewhat reliably verify the source. Only ever raised bag seed, or some from a friend that swears “Its totally sour diesel man!”
