Hey yall need help deciding on a career change etc. So I live in Humboldt county ca absolutely love it but moved here to live and work cannabis rest of my life and don’t care about money just plants, xbox, internet, and roof over head. So live in norhum eureka be exact at sawmill for years and have a pretty decent position but not my passion at all and recently kind of sick of it. Land price had plummeted since legalization and especially in sohum which I love sohum are so much more rural and also plants just grow better there. Have 30k saved and actually could easily start mortgage being 5 acres avg 100k-120k sohum and more to myself and off grid. Yall think I should say fuck it and just go for it? Actually more farms down there I could work or work 9-5 for little while but 5 acres can get permitted and few farms say they help set me up with cheap grow supplies. I’d just put a camper on land, satellite wifi, and work local road crews or construction down there for a little and get secure income but he’ll could visit errl hill farms and kevin jodreys giant leprechaun lookin ass lmao he’s awesome. What you think guys sawmill is killing me.

I’m sure you know only you can answer that.

I somtimes think I would like to work in canibus but I also fear it would take away the joy for me once it’s a job.

You are absolutely right and actually still do the move but fuck getting permitted which errl hill farms agrees with me and find something nearby fulltime for secure income. Which have a pretty decent resume with few skills also caltrans road maintenance is an option. Sohums housing is literally almost half of northern Humboldt county real estate values. Also not being licensed and long as i don’t blow up an entire acre or 2 should be fine. County has calmed down a shit ton these days especially if your local. But definitely want to get land now so by retirement it’s paid off.

Fuck ya, id go for it.

Lifes to short, but only you will know if 30k is enough of a cushion. Personally i would want all my costs taken care of and a year of bills in savings before i ever made that leap tho

Thanks buddy I am meeting the owner this weekend to smoke the special genetic of 2:1 cultivar. He started out as a breeder here in Humboldt county and now has the largest genetic preservation nursery in northern California as well as other projects that are more for the benefits of the growers in the industry but a very sturdy stable company and was one of few medically licensed even before legalization and I caught his attention for my love of medical strains that everyone forgot about due legalization and now its all about thc. This was his 2:1 first strain of its kind to have 7%CBG while still having high thc for those that it matters.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, and to have that many strains at your fingertips to potentially have fun with might pull you down the breeding rabbit hole if you so desired. Many secrets that plant still holds.

Nice pics too, they look to be about where mine are, week 4/5. Healthy and frosty
