Here are 2 plants that have some troubles, but at week 6 the tricombs look amber. I plan to wait 3 more weeks but what do you all think.

I am using Gaia green bloom and adding Super B and CalMag without PHing the water

I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen other comments about how you wanna check trichome heads on the buds not the leaves..

We don’t smoke leaf, so trichomes on leaves are not relevant. You need to wait for the bud (calyx) to swell and mature before you can inspect the trichomes that form on them. Trichomes form on leaves first, so those trichomes are the first to mature. The trichomes on the bud are the ones you need to pay attention to.

Check your PH or your environment too bro. Those leaves are looking alittle crispy and its to early to senescence.

I checked PH at roots and it is 6. The water that came out when I watered was 6.5

I have now started to PH the water before I water. I tested the original water before i mix and it is about 7.8 from a bucket I use. With CalMeg and Super B it was probably close to 9 when I watered. However I thought I didn’t need to PH with the dry amendment. Also I did water with fish shit about 1 week ago. The leaves already started to yellow before the fish

The crusty leaves started a little after I flipped to flower and top dressed Gaia Green Bloom.

I went out of town and came back to a dry pot. However the yellow leaves are from before

I tested with a cheapo PH meter but confirmed with a drip strip tester. Humidity is only 50 and the temp as of right now when I took the photo is 23c

Those leaves look like they show some ph issues. Iv had the same problems before and a little now. If you water with 6.0 and runoff is 6.5 the soil ph is probably over 6.5-7.0. Just my opinion And I’m no master.

I now check my ph in 3 ways probably overkill.

        1. I have 2 different meters that I calibrate everytime.

        2. I use the indicator liquid to check color.

        3. I use ph strips also.

I dont trust my ability to check color of the indicator, I definitely dont trust the meters, so thats why I do the different methods.

I also give my water about 15 minutes to settle out after ph correction before testing again.

Thank you for the information and suggestions. I normally PH the water and go right to watering. I will plan to wait a bit before I water next time.
