    Whats good dgc?

Kinda scratching my head if i shouldn’t have gave these girls anothering feeding or just started water only. I’m running living soil following buildasoils schedule. I got a freebie of “the brunch” from dirty bird genetics. They are saying 60 days flower time. I’m on day 48 and imo the trichomes are almost ready about a week out. I was not expecting it to be this far along this early and I just watered in some buildabloom (3-11-5), peach ferments, big 6 (micro nutrients manganese, boron, copper, cobalt, molybedum, and zinc) and cocunut water . I know this won’t be detrimental but should have I just started using plain water at this point? I’m running str8 organic so I don’t flush but I don’t know when you should stop feeding in nutrients. How much longer should I take her? Any help is appreciated. Attached some pics but hard to get good one of trichs.

She’s looking great from what I can see. Honestly though a lot of this comes down to personal preference nowadays. What I mean by that is when I began growing years ago people were saying you should flush the last 2-3weeks of flower and that’s what I’ve tried to maintain but now people are saying they don’t flush and it’s more about the drying and curing process. As far as the finish you want the trichome heads to be cloudy for more of an uplifting, euphoric effects. For more anesthetic, relaxing effect you want those trichromes to turn 30-40% amber. You could let her keep sitting there essentially but you have a higher chance of issues with bud rot or burning terps or having the thc begin converting to cbn

Well there’s been reports from a lab it was on the show. If fed nutrients for the last two weeks until chop there wasn’t a gain in yield terpenes or thc percentage compared to the same strain grown without nutrients for the last two weeks. So if you quit nutrients for the last two weeks then you’ll save some money. That’s the last two weeks until you have your plant chopped. I notice a smoother taste from just stopping nutrients and letting the plant use up the soil. Saves money and makes for a smoother smoke after a slow 14 day dry at 60/60 temp/rh

At day 48 I’d say there could be some bulking left for the plant. I run organics and start lowering feed around 3 weeks out from estimated finish (which i have a hard time trusting). After a few grows you’ll see a pattern where they aren’t eating as much. I usually go 9- 10 weeks with all my plants. So week 7ish is where i start to lower feed. I do like to do water only for the past week or more. No need to flush in organics. Just give a healthy watering when they need it. Remember they aren’t drinking as much at the end. You don’t want to overwater and cause guttation. Where the inner fluids start secreting out of the plant.

Depending on your growing style that could be the determining factor on how/when she finishes. I am following the same buildasoil system. It says to continue feeding through week 8 and water only after that. They have it on their website in the education tab all the way at the bottom… don’t sweat it. She looks b-e-a-utiful!

You mention you’re in a living soil. Water until about 5 days before harvest. Don’t top dress anything that will take weeks to become available.
