Watermelons on 2 arched trellises. They’re doing pretty good, still a few weeks to go on some and a month or so on others. An introduction to growing for the kids. They helped germinate, plant, water and give weekly doses of Recharge. Super excited to slice up the first one for them.

Still have a few things going. Habaneros, Hungarian hot wax peppers, Santaka peppers and a winter squash that took over.

My 7 year old had her first harvest yesterday. She helped with it all, mixed the grow dots, germinated seeds, watered, recharged weekly, defoliated and helped run vines through the trellis. I’m super proud and she’s already talking about what to grow next year. As an added bonus, this was the best watermelon I’ve had in years.

We picked the remaining watermelons today. Not bad for a first try. I built the platform in the background this weekend for a new 12×10 shed with 4′ of deck space on the front. Not to grow in, to replace the space I stole from the garage (for a grow room). Lol.
