I like the 5 gallon square pots the best. I’ve been using them a few years now. I had issues with watering with the fabric pots. Igo from cocco plugs to solo cups to 1 gallon to 5s. I also am pretty busy with work so I think the bigger pots give flexibility with watering. Crazy thing is I’m a plumber you would think I would plumb up a watering system. But I like hand watering it gives me time to check out the plants make sure everything is kosher

I say pot size depends on grow style. I grow organic, so my autos are in 7gal pots. These are fabric pots with gromets for trainning, and the air prunning helps to expand my root zone. They support my girls easily for the 90 days they need to finish. If I’m filling a scrog screen with a long winded sativa; A 30 gal may be needed. If I’m doing a salt run it doesnt make a lot of difference a 3gal would suffice.

It really depends on what gross style I’m using. if I’m growing in cocoa and grow dots with blumats, I Like to use a 5 gallon plastic pot. If I am doing an organic soil run amending with dry amendments and Recharge, I will use 7 gallon rain science pots.

I have been using five gallon fabric pots for a while. I’m going back to five gallon buckets this round. I think I’ll be a bit more in control of rh in the tent because of less evaporation, I’ll soon see. During the summer I’m always running a lot of air and the dehumidifier to hold the vpd in control.
