green-gigglesParticipantJune 1, 2025 at 4:09 pm…how do you like to do it?
This question was recently asked to me and I wondered about other’s responses.
Whats your favorite way to light a joint? Your style, or ritual. ?
Personally, I think a Cedar twig, or thin cut Cedar kindling lit from a wood burning fire is my all time favorite. You’ll get a bit of the cedar aroma from its oils upon lighting… Added bonus if Im out of the city and in the woods , immersed with only the sounds of nature.
And for an energy aspect, I consider the rising smoke to be an offering to the wisdom energies to grant me their blessings.
Maybe Im still gaining an understanding after 30 years of smoking how the entourage effect is defined while considering both the physical and spiritual aspects of Cannabis use.
Happy smoking all.

Call me “old school” but a BIC works just fine for me. If I’m getting really hoity-toity, I’ll use my tiny pocket butane torch (I have a dual lighter, one side normal flame, flip it over and it’s a tiny hi-temp torch). I just rotate the joint and slowly “bake off” just the top tip until I’ve got a cherry.

I can’t remember the last time I smoked a joint. For years it was a one hitter and dugout and now dry herb vaporizers. If I have a hit it’s from one of my pipes, metal or glass. Bic is usually the source of fire when needed.

SOP. Take flame, begin to fire end, when it’s burning bring opposite end to lips, inhale, repeat until it’s finished.
