Sure have in a pinch. If you’re properly taking care of your plants they’ll produce their own hormones as needed. Acetylsalicylic acid in water breaks down to salicylic acid, a natural PGR that boosts the plant’s immunities. Very helpful in small doses but when overused can be harmful.

Oh, I see. Thanks. I just watched it again. He was defoliating the newest tops to slow down the tops’ stretching to give the lower branches a chance to catch up.

I saw a video yesterday where the grower, instead of normal topping or FIMing, just plucked off the first fan leaf for each top’s newest branch.
Does anyone else do this?
