        • Dude the Mishawaka is such an incredible venue for shows! I might head up a day early from Boulder and do some fishing in the La Porte area

          Love

awesome – are you familiar with the area? I fish a lot around here…

            • I’m not, i live down in Boulder and have only been to the Mish//Poudre once before! Want to get out for some fishing Friday or Sat before the cup?

the Poudre might be high / fast for fishing – runoff should be happening by then.

below the dam at Gateway up the canyon is always good for fly fishing, get there early!

I love Dowdy and Parvin lakes this time of year, about 45 mins from laporte tho. I’m gonna see if i can swing this fri am.

you can also fish Horsetooth Reservoir along the east shore – will likely require $10 parking and a walk to fish.

we love the south shore of Lon Hagler in southwest loveland. this place is a gem, esp at sunset

my fav spot is Barnes Meadow reservoir up the canyon – not sure if it’s melted out yet tho.

              • @bnr badass! Thank you for the info, very stoked to check it out! Hopefully the spring runoff ends sooner this year, last year the creeks were flooded well into July! I’m all about hitting smaller creeks with a Tenkara setup, like Boulder canyon or the St Vrain. Im not set up for big water at the moment, although that’s all we did growing up. Honestly, fishing the tiny creeks feels more like a hunt, because im walking the entire time – actively fishing.

we could do a quick session saturday morning too, looks like the Cup doesnt start till 1. Im not sure Friday will work tbh, i’ll likely head up later in the evening. Planning on camping Saturday night, maybe fish sunday morning before heading back down

I’m switching my schedule up a little bit,

what do you get there? i was unimpressed with their burritos. Ophelia’s is the best truck on that strip imo

            • Awesome @bnr! Just what I was looking for!

              • As an east coaster flying into Denver I recommend grabbing Inn N out burger closest to the airport. I know it’s a chain and fast food but soooo much better
