1- Opinions and advice for possible partial harvest? I don’t want to leave them too long and degrade the thc, the baby arm colas are fantastic and im stoked so i don’t want to ruin anything. Trichs are cloudy with clear amber but not as much amber lower but they are milky. So im hesitant. 6.5 months from seed(10wk vegg), 10 weeks in flower, been water feed only the last week. stressors slowed it during flower hence the . I hope this makes sense because Im an over thinker. Drying will be my demise i know.
2-One is drying and already smells like hey, I left it hanging after chop in the bathroom with vent fan on when i left for work and came home to the dredded smell. They are cut and spread out in brown paper bags(yes old school). 🤞Anything I can do to further prevent the smell or am i up shitz creek on that now?

Do you hang the whole plant to dry and then bag em, or chop em up and then dry? Many different methods for different purposes. This kind of talk usually results in spirited discussion amongst growers, lol.
Would seem maybe the small buds dried too fast…but maybe not. Also sometimes that hay smell just shows up for a brief period during drying…I use paper bag tech religiously, and have for a very long time.
A quality cooler (that fully closes) in a cool room is your friend.
Take my advice with a lot of salt. I know nothing I tell you….. NOTHING!😆

@Hash no, like every feed morning, up at 5am make feed, go feed and wake n bake with the ladies for 20 minutes then get ready for work lol. I was pressed on time. They are nugged up (wet trimmed-roughly) and in the bags, I’ll put a picture. Everything is still moist so I’m hoping it passes because the terps are strong. I smelt it 2 houses down at my mailbox. I have 2 coolers but I doubt the father n law wants a cooler smelling like this. I would though. I put everything into growing not thinking about the harvest as much. Strike 3,058 on this grow 🤣

The growers cut as it was called in my neck of the woods. Take the tops and let the bottoms go a little longer I don’t hear a lot of ppl talk about that anymore idk why? But if you think about it, it makes sense what ever your growing in your garden you don’t wait till half are ripe and then harvest them all generally you know. I still harvest some plants like this when there big 6ft tall or more or if I have pollinated some of the lower popcorn buds and I want to make sure the seeds are fully mature

@Backwoods_mountain_grower I tend to think out of the box and wonder what if so then there’s my trip down another rabbit hole. Pretty even and open canopy just a lot of stresses both plants and finishing differently, the one still going are still clear with slight milky/and very little amber at the moment. I mean I see it as taking an apple from the tree, it still grows even though the rest aren’t ripe. Selective harvest almost. Without years of knowledge behind me it’s best judgment and depend on the amazing grow family of the DGC for clarification. I was curious as to other people’s perspectives of the topic.

@Hydro-Hippie hippie talk I love it, bring it on.
1- placed another fan and moved my dehu in there . Bags are flats, partially rolled to still vent slowly.
2- buds are spread between 3 bags as to leave room but not wasted space either and laying on it’s side for more room. And yup I “burped “ them this morning when given a little rattle. Almost want to put them in the grow except for the high temp. It’s 80 in here with 56%rh but feels low/mid 70’s

@Hydro-Hippie As long as I’m on the right track and checking the correct boxes. 2 most important phases( growing and harvesting, don’t mess up🤣)Rather than words here’s your visual. Hey thanks for the advice and the grow talk. If I’m on the right track then I’ll calm down. 3-4oz by the amount so we’ll see where the weight sits when dry, would be bummed to mess it up. ThDehu/circulation/ ventilation all in check showing 66/60 on the analog.
