The waxy outer shell of a trichome is called the cuticle. We dry bud and ‘cure’ oxidize the cuticle. The waxy membrane is soft when it forms on a live plant and hardens as it oxidizes during the drying process.

This is my 95 day old RQS Purplematic CBD Auto that FINALLY started flowering. Ended up going 14/10 and it gave up and popped pistils. I believe it heard me tell the wife I was gonna throw it out in a ditch! Crammed it into a net today for support. It’s way huge but has those little cheesy ass, punky chopsticks for stalks.
