• So @plant-daddy hooked me up with some pollen to play with and I have a couple questions I should’ve asked… Is this one ready to go? Not yet? Too late? Im researching this morning and I’m not too proud to ask the group to help me up my game.

Is there a preffered time of day, RH% or temp change I need to be aware of or do i dust a few buds and let her run?

I’ve got a tent outfitted for flower set up at the other end of my home so no chance of fertilizing the rest of my grow, which is in a separate area and doesnt share ventilation.

      • Not to late in my opinion, but what are you trying to do make as many seeds as possible and you don’t care about the flower, Or just a few seeds on a couple of lower buds and keep the majority of the buds, or do you want a couple dozen seeds and use the flower for edibles?

Either way I find the seeds take about 6 weeks on

        average.

So I ended up using plastic film to isolate two branches, killed ALL circulation and used a kids watercolor kit paintbrush to paint the pollen into the pistils on the exposed buds.I even wore a mask to keep from blowing it everywhere. I’m hoping to get a few seed to play with in the future and hang on to some of the buds too. I’ve got plenty of this flower cured and a ton of cuts sitting around so if the whole plant got dusted, it’s not a huge deal to me.

I’m guessing that I should let it go as long as it will stand, huh? Then gently prune the seeded branches and set them aside before I chop and dry the whole thing?

I’ve not found a definitive answer on the subject of how long after fertilization should you wait before you can you safely put that plant around Fems in a large area, or is that a dumb move? I’d love to use the “seed tent” for autos while they finish and let them cruise along with their cousins in the big flower room….

Thanks for the reply and the info brother!
