• Reply to PH meter oddity… “Quantum PH”

I’m looking at at least a solid four with my pH and probably seven years with my ppm. I maintain them impeccably, of course. I treat all my equipment as if I do not want to ever pay to replace it as I also enjoy testing the pH of my soil. I have other PH monitoring devices on my moisture meters, everything pretty much always says the same thing.…

    • We’ve got a week of late summer warmth, maybe. It’s already slapped us down in the 30’s once, but there’s usually a light snow within the next two weeks. I’m chopping my giant “mystery plant” behind the shed in a minute and headed to the wilderness to see what’s viable of the Johnny Appleseed donations I made all spring and summer. I…

Don’t know if any of you even care. I think I am the only person that misses my own hacks on the show lol. I kind of lived for that. But in case anyone does give a shit that’s trying to keep stuff warm without spending tons of money on heat… I have two of these big totes that are black that were given to me by somebody moving. They are both…

      • I ❤️ hacks, I think I’m understanding this,, the daylight coming in the green house generates the heat in the black tote, then at night time the box full of warm water radiates the heat back into the grow area… sweet 🤙

      • …and this is why I follow you!! I freeze gallon whatever jugs and use them to chill my drying tent. I will now use a large tote of H2O next to my oil filled radiator and add a small fan, to help moderate the grow room night temps in the coming months of bullshit we have here in Minnesota. 🤘🏼

      • I use 55 gallon food safe metal barrels to accomplish the same thing. I have the greenhouse set up to capture all of the sun during the winter months, with the barrels being lined up on the back wall to catch the heat. I am also putting a wood stove on that back wall to keep temps up in deep winter. I am growing citrus in that greenhouse…

Wait, are you telling me that I actually am in control of everything? Thank God everybody because this is something we can fix ourselves! That’s good news people. A real problem is one that we have no control over. And I can’t think of a more controlled world than a tent of plants.

J Mostro is most likely correct. I would like to put second guess as possibly collection of whatever spray when you spray. Possibly settled and caused issues. I can’t really tell if it’s more of a rotting look or of a burning look in the center of the leaf. overwatering, though… That certainly been a big problem In my career. I would let…
