I was once like you sir. Usually i fall asleep fine. Then about 2.5 hrs later im wide awake followed by hours of fruitless tossing and turning, staring at the ceiling thinking of how tired and miserable ill feel tomorrow at work. Alarm goes off and im bummed out the whole day. If I did zonk back out, it never felt beneficial. So now during a tolerance break I lean into it. I just get up and get productive. I get to go hunting, fishing, exercise, frame out a basement bathroom, wander a city I’m staying in for work, or even respond to a random interwebs post at 4:17 am on a Wednesday. Great part is I never feel miserable at work because im no longer focused on a negative. typically i fall back into a somewhat normal sleep pattern after a week or so. It may only work for me so grain of salt and Good luck. I’m off to the garage to sandblast some parts for a 74′ cl 350 scrambler I’m restoring at 4:29am
